Storage Networking World Fall 2005 ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 25, 2005--iVivity has announced general availability of version 3.0 of its Software Development Kit (SDK).
The SDK fully utilizes the iDiSX multi-core programming architecture which features open source embedded Linux environment programmable using industry standard tools as well as a set of high level APIs which allows users to fully offload protocol, application, data path and certain management and control path functions to the iDiSX chip using the industry standard C language.
The iDiSX Software Development Kit (SDK) provides the base software modules that enable storage system OEMs to create and deploy storage applications using the iVivity software framework. The SDK provides access to the iDiSX software stacks, development tools, the iDiSX 2000 ASIC Reference Platform and all the necessary documentation to support the development of storage applications and platform solutions.
The SDK supports the iDiSX 2000 hardware assist engines and programmable processor cores to create applications that are capable of performing wire-speed 10-gigabit-per-second (Gbps) storage protocols and virtualization. Programmability is enabled utilizing industry standard Linux and high level C library tools and coding can by asymmetrical or symmetrical.
