Vancouver, BC, November 11, 2008 — Avigilon today announced the appointment of Chris Helin as the company's Sales Director for the US Midwest and Eastern Canada. Helin joins Avigilon from DVTel Inc., a network video software provider, where he served as the director of DVTel Canada, responsible for corporate accounts, dealer recruitment, and the operating budget. Prior to DVTel, Helin honed his vertical market expertise and technical skills in IP-based video surveillance at Vicon Industries. Helin has worked on numerous security projects with insurance, financial, retail, aviation, and gaming organizations.

Based in Minneapolis, Helin will manage all sales activities pertaining to the US Midwestern states and Eastern Canadian markets including Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia. In addition to regularly supporting customers, integrators, manufacturer's representatives and consultants throughout these territories, he will also act as a regular feedback loop from the field to the Avigilon head-office to help prioritize product development activities and new product features.
