Visioneer, a provider of intelligent imaging solutions, said that it has named Kofax its "ISV Partner of the Year" for 2005.
Kofax, a division of Dicom, is a provider of information capture software. The award was presented to Richard Anderson, OEM sales manager at Kofax during a celebration at Visioneer's recent PartnerVision 2006 customer event.
Kofax was recognized for its VirtualReScan (VRS) technology for image processing. When combined with Visioneer's line of document imaging hardware solutions, Visioneer said the VRS provides a complete solution that enhances scanning, improves workflow and reduces the costs associated with capture.
"Visioneer was the first company to bundle VRS with workgroup scanners," said Don McMahan, executive vice president of sales and marketing at Visioneer. "We wanted to bring the benefits of VRS to desktop users without the need for them to buy a $5-10K production scanner. VRS technology is the benchmark for document image quality in all types of scanning environments and both complements and extends the value of Visioneer scanners. We are pleased to have the opportunity to recognize Kofax with this award as it reinforces the strength of our partnership."
