LOS ANGELES , and CAMBRIDGE, Mass., May 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --Sunnylife Global, Inc. (Pink Sheets: SNYL.PK) a publicly traded company based in Los Angeles , Calif. and Energid Technologies Corporation, a privately held company based in Cambridge, Mass., have signed a letter of intent for Sunnylife to purchase up to ten Virtual Reality (VR) Surgical Training Systems from Energid Technologies as part of its healthcare modernization program in China .
Energid's Virtual Reality training system currently in development teaches surgeons and other healthcare professionals by allowing them to practice procedures on simulated virtual patients. It provides a natural interface totrainees using a high fidelity virtual human patient model and patent pending visual surgical tool tracking and maglev haptic feedback. The surgical simulator can model surgical errors and complications during the training process and will support training, planning, and rehearsal.
"Energid is pleased with the agreement and excited about introducing our innovative medical training technology to the greater China market," said Dr.John Hu , Director of Medical Robotics and Systems at Energid. "Our technology will improve the quality of medical education in Asia and open new global business markets."
Sunnylife Global, in its quest to modernize Chinese hospitals, has recognized the value of this technology and plans to introduce it through their hospital network.
