MVTec Software GmbH, Munich, Germany, cultivates close relationships with a large number of suppliers of image acquisition devices. The MVTec Image Acquisition Partner Program' represents these partnerships. On June 26 in Munich, MVTec arranged the first training for companies from this partner program.
The MVTec Image Acquisition Partner Program' already includes 25 well-known manufacturers of cameras and frame grabbers. The primary goal of this program is the close collaboration in developing and maintaining the image acquisition interfaces, as well as in potential support cases. This cooperation helps to provide the customer with the best possible interfacing between software and hardware.
An ongoing information flow between the partners about each others products is an important requirement for this. For this reason, MVTec has invited all European partner companies, which offer GigE Vision products, to a training. Representatives of numerous camera manufacturers (e.g. Baumer, JAI, Leutron, Mikrotron, SVS-Vistek) attended this event. Topics were the specific training for the image acquisition interfaces to HALCON and ActivVisionTools with the focus on the new HALCON GigEVision interface.
As a leading supplier of standard software products for machine vision, one of MVTec's primary goals is the development and support of interfaces to provide the best possible integration of all common industrial image acquisition devices into MVTec's software products HALCON and ActivVisionTools. Therefore, MVTec plans to expand the successful partner program with further partnerships, and to invite more companies for trainings.
