BEIJING, Jan. 3 /Xinhua-PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Microsoft-Vimicro Multimedia Technology Center today announced the launch of Windows Rally and the VS-IPC1002 IP Camera convergence application solution. As the first generation IP Camera based on Windows Rally technology, the VS-IPC1002 was developed to meet the needs of China's fast-growing surveillance market.

Windows Rally is the latest Microsoft technology based on the Windows Vista Operating System (OS) that supports connectivity between PCs and all types of digital peripheral devices. This technology enables the VS-IPC1002 IP Camera to be automatically identified by Vista PC and function like a USB device.
