During the last years, machine vision has established its place primarily in the automation industry. Traditional fields, such as production control or quality control, are supplemented by many further application areas. For example, thanks to HALCON's latest 3D technology, machine vision nowadays is successfully implemented more and more in the area of robotics.

At AUTOMATICA, MVTec Software GmbH showcases many live demos to visualize the power of its worldwide industry proven standard software library HALCON: 3D vision with only one camera for industrial robot control, 3D stereo vision for inspection in semiconductor industries, quality inspection for pharmaceutical industry with 3D vision, and more.

With HALCON 8.0, challenging machine vision is faster and easier to develop. Besides the more than hundred new operators, the speed of the entire software library was enhanced by 25%, single operators up to 500%.

In addition, MVTec will present the new version of its easy-to-use software ActivVisionTools 3.2, which is based on HALCON 8.0 technology.
