CHARLOTTE, N.C., July 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Goodrich Corporation(NYSE: GR) is the first Boeing 787 Dreamliner system supplier to ship production components. On June 14, 2006 Goodrich shipped proximity sensors from its fuel & utility systems facility in Vergennes, VT. The proximity sensors will provide nose landing gear door position information used by the aircraft's landing gear actuation system. The complete Goodrich proximity sensing system consists of four proximity sensor data concentrators and 138 advanced, lightweight proximity sensors that will be installed on the landing gear, passenger doors, cargo doors, thrust reversers and various other accessdoors and panels.

In addition to the proximity sensor system, Goodrich is providing the following technologies to Boeing for the Dreamliner: flight deck lighting system; cabin attendant seating; cargo system; wheels and electric braking system; exterior lighting; nacelles and thrust reversers; flight deck entryvideo surveillance system; fuel quantity indicating system and fuel management software. In addition, Goodrich has been selected by Rolls-Royce to providethe engine control system and sensor suite for the Trent 1000 engine, an engine option for the 787.
