Matrox Graphics Inc. (Montreal, Canada), the leading manufacturer of specialized graphics solutions, announces that Fineman GmbH(Munich, Germany), a distributor for medical imaging products specializing in LCD technology, has validated Matrox Xenia Series display controller boards for use with various Barco Nio, Coronis, and Fusion Series medical displays, and is offering these bundles to the German market.

For primary diagnostics, Fineman GmbH has evaluated Matrox Xenia Series in combination with products from the Barco Medical Display Product Line. The high end grayscale and color displays from Barco's Coronis product line offer outstanding performance in combination with the Matrox Xenia Series. The Coronis Fusion Color 6MP DL with its 30' screen, 800cd/m2 of brightness and outstanding features is a perfect match for Matrox Xenia Series high end graphic controllers.

'Fineman GmbH's distribution partnership with both companies, Barco and Matrox, allows us to combine the products of two market leaders in medical imaging,' says Dirk Cordt, Managing Director of Fineman GmbH. 'We are confident about the quality and performance of this package and we are pleased to expand our ongoing cooperation with Matrox.'

'Matrox is pleased to extend its partnership with Fineman to deliver high quality solutions for medical imaging professionals,' says George Rigas, Business Development Manager for Medical Imaging, Matrox Graphics Inc. 'Providing pristine image quality, reliable performance, and innovative features, the combination will enhance medical image reading in support of diagnostic services for healthcare organizations.'

Matrox Xenia is the first native PCI Express single-slot board with all-digital, triple-monitor output, and the flexibility to drive an array of display configurations. Xenia Series supports resolutions from under 1MP to 8MP, with up to 1GB of on-board memory, and features new technology to ensure optimum display calibration (via Matrox DLC and 8/10/13-bit gamma LUTs). Xenia also provides PACS developers and integrators looking for leading edge technology the development potential for increasing hardware-accelerated performance via hardware LUTs, multiple hardware window IDs, and additional hardware features.
