FLIR Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: FLIR) announced today that it has received a contract to provide 14 thermal imaging cameras for use at Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport and William P. Hobby Airport as part of a comprehensive video security system that protects more than 30 miles of perimeter at the two airports.
FLIR will provide ThermoVision Sentry IIŪ and ThermoVision Integration SeriesŪ cameras to be integrated with the airports' video processing and radar surveillance systems. FLIR's thermal imaging cameras will provide video coverage in areas where ground-based radar is obstructed by buildings or other objects, and be linked to a geospatial map interface to provide high resolution infrared imagery to aid in the assessment of perimeter intrusion.
