2006 JAN 5 - (NewsRx.com) -- ATI Technologies, Inc., (ATYT) announced that its FireGL workstation graphics solutions have been selected by Confirma, a company focused on computer-aided detection (CAD) for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
FireGL workstation graphics are now being integrated into CADstream. CADstream automates the processing of MRI studies, providing, the company says, higher quality imaging studies, lower costs for radiology practices, and improved communication tools for physicians and patients.
CADstream is, according to the company, advancing breast MRI by enhancing efficiency, standardization, access, and compatibility of studies. The system automates analysis, reporting, and interventional planning of studies and promotes standardization with the incorporation of the American College of Radiology's BI-RADS Atlas. CADstream is designed for any workflow scenario, integrating with existing equipment and providing access to studies anywhere on the network.
The FireGL V7100 is part of ATI's Visualization series of workstation graphics accelerators.
Confirma, Inc., develops and markets CAD systems and accessories for medical imaging.
