via PRNewswire

Allowing digital signal processing developers to effortlessly leverage the computational power of TI's digital signal processors (DSPs), Texas Instruments (Stafford, Texas) introduces the C6EZFlo graphical software development tool. The C6EZFlo tool simplifies and accelerates the development process by enabling developers to generate prototype software on TI DSPs without learning new programming languages or specific DSP architecture. To learn more and download C6EZFlo software, visit http://www.ti.com/c6flo-prtf.

The C6EZFlo's unique graphical interface enables developers to utilize drag-and-drop functionality to create a signal flow block diagram. The blocks in the diagram represent anything from a peripheral input/output data transaction to a specialized DSP filter kernel. The tool generates heavily commented and cleanly structured C code based on the block diagram, which the developer can use in its raw form or modify to adjust the design. Developers can leverage C6EZFlo with TI's C6000(TM) DSP devices, such as C674x DSPs, as well as DSP-based DaVinci(TM) video processors, including DM643x and DM648, which enables quick and easy prototyping for various end applications, including industrial imaging, industrial monitoring, test and measurement, music effects and medical imaging applications.

C6EZFlo software development tool features and benefits

Provides comprehensive drag-and-drop functionality, allowing developers to connect blocks with peripherals on Allows simple, rapid prototyping without the DSP and optimize expertise in DSP code, architecture or processing drivers Generates clean code that is easy to understand, modify and expand during Speeds time to market by reducing future application prototyping, debugging and optimization development time ------------------------- --------------------------------------- Produces system signal flow Enables scalability across TI DSP block diagram that can be products, offering developers cost and reused when migrating to time to market savings with software other TI DSPs reuse.
