The USB option of the FastCamera13 and FastCamera40 allows these cameras to be interfaced to a Laptop directly, or with a PCMCIA frame grabber. The cameras are powered by 5 volt DC power, which can be supplied by a power inverter or powered through a power brick and inverter.
Cameras with USB configuration have software included with the camera for use on a laptop. The Camera Link configuration provides all of the data formats required for the Camera Link specification, which makes the selection of a frame grabber easy. All that’s required is a frame grabber that’s fast enough for the application.
