VIDEO/MEDIA CLIP SERVERDesigned to handle multi-channel video-and audio-in multiple compression formats, the ClipServer offers 2-12 video channels and an AES/EBU stereo channel for each one, for synchronous recording and playback. The unit encodes and stores MPEG-2, MPEG 50 and DVCPro, as well as 4:2:2P, DV25 and DV50 format video. The ClipServer functions as a stand-alone system, using a SCSI Disk array or RAID, or can be integrated into Storage Area Networks via a Fibre Channel interface; open file support and the use of broadcast standard protocols simplifies that integration. The newest addition to this established library for high-performance
image acquisition, processing and analysis, Sapera 4.0 provides
over 300 functions for high-performance applications under
NT 4.0, NT 4.0 Embedded, and Win 2000, while supporting
new Pentium 4 capabilities. App-development speed enhancements
to the new release include 1-bit binary image support (for
blob analysis, segmentation, morphology, and display and
file management), Active X controls, C++ classes, and a
"CamExpert" camera configuration utility. Support
for the SMART Series of application-specific software libraries
enables development of robust apps for OR, 1D barcode and
2D matrix code, as well as pattern matching and alignment.
