Universal Display Corporation Signs Agreement To Provide PHOLED™ Material to a Leading Display Manufacturer

Universal Display Corporation (Ewing, N.J.), has entered into an agreement with a leading display manufacturer, to supply the Company’s proprietary PHOLED™ phosphorescent OLED material for use in an active matrix OLED product. The company develops and commercializes OLED technology for flat panel displays, lighting and other opto-electronics with its proprietary PHOLED phosphorescent OLED technology.

Universal Display’s proprietary PHOLED technology offers up to four times higher efficiency than conventional OLED technology – a feature that is very important for battery-operated cell phones and other portable devices, as well as for future large-area TVs and solid-state lighting products.

PHOLED materials, manufactured by PPG Industries exclusively for Universal Display, are currently being evaluated and used in commercial production by a number of electronics manufacturers.

Barco’s Medical Imaging Business ISO 13485:2003 Certified

Visualization specialist Barco’s (Kortrijk, Belgium) Medical Imaging Systems division has received ISO 13485:2003 certification for its quality management system. The certification applies to the Barco facilities of Kortrijk, Belgium; Beaverton, Ore.; and Duluth, Ga.
