Facts and figures
The world's leading trade fair, VISION is the most important event for the machine vision industry
Just as in the past, the 21st International Trade Fair for Machine Vision and Identification Technologies also set some new records last year. Approximately 6,100 visitors from about 40 countries were interested in the innovations and product improvements from the world's most important machine vision suppliers. The proportion of foreign visitors rose again and now stands at 32 percent. The situation was similar as regards exhibitors; the proportion of foreign exhibitors actually increased to 40 percent. A total of 280 exhibitors from all over the world came to Stuttgart and presented their machine vision components and systems. The exhibits included cameras, frame grabbers, optical and lighting systems, processors, software tools, machine vision and identification systems and services.
New potential customers with
decision-making power
Every year, the clearly focused exhibition program of VISION attracts around 65 percent new visitors from a wide range of industries. This is first due to machine vision conquering new industries and applications and secondly the growing need to further optimize conventional production processes because of greater competitive pressure.
