Imperx Inc. (Boca Raton, Fla.) introduces its new BOBCAT series of cameras. BOBCAT is a new line of compact (45mm x 45mm x 39mm), feature-rich CameraLink cameras designed to address the needs of a wide range of machine vision applications. The BOBCAT series offers a common platform for all of its camera models, regardless of speed and resolution. All models share the same size, features and command set, making it easier for end-users to easily switch or upgrade BOBCAT models to meet the needs of new vision applications. With its compact size, field-upgradeable firmware, high-quality images and impressive set of features, the BOBCAT series also is an ideal choice for users who want to migrate to digital imaging, or to enhance the features of existing digital systems. The BOBCAT series initially includes the following sensors and frame rates: Kodak VGA @ 120 fps and 210 fps, Sony 1.4M @ 24 fps, Sony 2.0M @ 16 fps, and 5.0M @ 15 fps.
