The XCD-V50 from Sony Visual Imaging Products (Park Ridge, NJ) is a 1/3-type progressive scan CCD camera with square pixels. Using advanced 1394.b technology, it provides VGA-sized images at up to 60 frames per second. Using about twice the bandwidth previously available for digital video processing, the XCD-V50 enables the clear capture of fast-moving objects — even in low-light environments. Other features include 8-bit (Mono8) or 14-bit (Mono16) output, fast hardware or software asynchronous trigger, HDC Ver 1.31 compliance, selectable gain control and a C-mount. SOUTHERN IMAGING INC.
