Toshiba America’s Imaging Systems Division, introduces the miniature, high resolution, progressive scan, “ice-cube-size” CCD camera family, the IK-52V (1/2 inch) and IK-53V (1/3 inch). The tiny 29mm 3 cameras weigh 45 grams each and both feature VGA (video graphics array) resolution. The effective 649 x 494 pixels feature horizontal resolution at 500 TV lines. The wide selection of the shutter speed (from 1/60 to /100,000 sec.) and non-interlaced shuttering offer crisp, clean images at high speeds. A 60 dB signal’-to-noise ratio makes this high performance camera family ideal for industrial imaging environments. The video graphics array outputs to either a frame grabber for data storage or direct to a VGA monitor for immediate review of the captured imagery. With the manual gain set to maximum, the minimum subject illumination setting is 1 lux at F1.4 sensitivity. Other features include the internal/external (HD/VD) synchronizing system with an HD/VD input/output that can be selected via the rear panel switch.
