FOCUS Enhancements Completes Videonics Buy
Veteran digital video hardware and software maker Videonics, Inc. (Campbell, CA) was acquired by FOCUS Enhancements, the maker of advanced video conversion ASICS for computing and television, on January 16 in a stock-or-stock transaction. Focus targets: merging of graphics and video for Web, presentations, conferencing, and gaming. Videonics stock ceased selling on NASDAQ.
Edge-3D Imaging LLC, a real-time bio-imaging firm built on key patents microscopy imaging pioneer Gary Greenberg developed at Edge Scientific, introduced itself to the public at the Cell Biology and Neuoscience expos.

And Luna Imaging, the Net-based image asset management firm, along with Lee & Lee Communications, licensees of art and other images form major museums of China, have formed a strategic relationship to bring Mandarin language capabilioty to their Insight software.
