ActiveDcam is a flexible and easy-to-use SDK for DCAM-compliant 1394 cameras that offers rapid application development in a variety of programming languages (VB, VB.NET, C++, C#, Delphi, Java) through an ActiveX interface. With a simple drop of an ActiveDcam object on the surface of an application, a developer gets an immediate out-of-the box support for multiple FireWire cameras. The SDK provides a built-in GUI with live video windows and full control over camera properties; real-time access to image data; on-the-fly Bayer interpolation; custom graphics and text overlay; pseudo-coloring; JPEG, TIF and AVI capture. Fully compliant with the IIDC 1.31 standard, ActiveDcam has been tested for compatibility with dozens camera lines from industry leading manufacturers.
