2007 SID International Symposium, Seminar and Exhibition

The SID International Symposium, Seminar and Exhibition, now in its 45th year and with more than 550 booths and 8,000 attendees, is an international gathering of scientists, engineers, manufacturers and users in the electronic-display industry.
The event provides access to a wide range of technology and applications from high-definition flat-panel displays using both emissive and liquid-crystal technology to the latest in OLED displays and large-area projection-display systems. One can find state-of-the-art information on the latest in image processing, systems software and display processor hardware, human factors and applied vision, and exciting new applications such as multimedia and the electronic cinema.
SID 2007 Business Conference
The SID Business Conference will be conducted for the fifth consecutive year on Monday, May 21, and Tuesday, May 22, and encompasses an all-new program of discussions led by high-level executives from the display industry.
In addition to the presentations by several industry leaders, the 2007 Business Conference will include a sit-down luncheon with special speakers on Monday and Tuesday:
Jerry Pierce, Senior Vice President, Technology, Universal Pictures, will discuss the landscape of changing expectations for home entertainment and the impact of the evaluation of the movie making and distribution processes.
