SVS-VISTEK GmbH (Seefeld, Germany) presents the newly developed ultra high-speed version of its 16 megapixel camera svs16000 with Gigabit Ethernet interface.The svs16000-U extends the product line of Gigabit Ethernet digital cameras with another high-resolution camera. The progressive-scan camera is equipped with an Interline Transfer CCD sensor from Kodakô with a diagonal of 43.3mm. By using two Ethernet connections the camera in the ultra high-speed version achieves a maximum frame rate of 4 fps with the full resolution of 4896 x 3280 pixels. In the partial-scan mode (reduced number of lines) or when using AOIs, images can be read-out at a considerably higher speed. Furthermore, binning with 2 x 2 pixels is also possible. The camera is available in monochrome or color versions. SVS-VISTEK's camera configuration software SVCapture allows the user to adjust various camera parameters such as "free-running" or "triggered." An SDK and the provided driver permit an easy and user-specific integration into machine vision systems.For optical interfacing, an M58 thread or an F-mount adapter can be provided. Due to its compact housing of only 70 x 71 x 50.5mm this camera can easily be used under confined conditions.
