NEC Electronics America Expands All Flash Microcontroller Offering With New 32-Bit V850 Series Devices

Support and services for flash programming include options to have the MCUs programmed prior to shipment to a customer's own manufacturing line or have them programmed by one of NEC Electronics America's various partner companies. These services allow designers to reduce the time and costs involved in flash programming and thereby reduce time to market by up to 50 percent compared to mask ROM products.

Samples and volume production of NEC Electronics' new 32-bit all flash MCUs are available now. Pricing varies according to device specifications. For example, the V850ES/KG2 device with 256 KB of flash memory is priced at $7.50in 1000-lot quantities. Pricing and availability are subject to change.
