Vendors Adopt On2's High Quality Codec for Flash Player 8
NEW YORK, Aug 29, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- On2 Technologies, Inc. (Amex: ONT), today announced that Sorenson Media(R) has embraced On2's VP6 compression technology for integration in Sorenson Media's newly-announced Squeeze(R) 4.2 Compression Suite for Windows and Sorenson Squeeze 4.2 for Macromedia Flash for Windows -- the newest update to its award-winning video encoding and compression applications for digital video professionals and enthusiasts. Announced earlier today, Sorenson Squeeze 4.2 Compression Suite and Sorenson Squeeze 4.2 for Macromedia Flash will enable users to encode video with high image quality for play out in the highly-anticipated new Flash Player 8 format. The new version of Sorenson Squeeze, based on On2's VP6 codec will be available this fall.
