Westinghouse Digital Electronics, a leading North American LCD TV and monitor provider, today announced its partnership with Aesthetic Mirror Inc. to distribute the 27- and 32-inch LCD TVs bundled with its decor frames to the hospitality marketplace.
The Westinghouse Digital TVs and decor frames will be on display at the Aesthetic Mirror booth #5246 during The Hospitality Design (HD) Expo and Conference 2005, taking place May 5-7, 2005 in Las Vegas.
Westinghouse Digital designed the first decorative frames (available from a flat-panel TV provider) to customize an LCD TV to match the furnishings and style of any room in the house or office. Westinghouse Decor frames and mattes are available in 16 different combinations of contemporary and traditional style frames and colors to complement the company's new " frame-ready" LCD TV line.
"Westinghouse Digital's partnership with Aesthetic Mirror allows us to reach a new audience outside the home and office," said Douglas Woo, president of Westinghouse Digital Electronics. "Now our LCD TVs and frames can be used in hotel rooms and lobbies, restaurants, lounges, convention centers and more, to create a high-quality viewing experience and stylish ambiance."
Westinghouse Decor frames can be attached in seconds to any "frame ready" Westinghouse LCD TV mounted on a wall without using any tools. A patent-pending design allows infrared (IR) signals from the remote control to pass through to the TV, and sound from the TV's speakers to pass through to the viewer.
"We are excited to offer our customers LCD TVs from Westinghouse Digital Electronics because they not only feature a high quality sound and picture but offer a unique style and design to the hospitality industry," said Martin Steele, president of contract sales for Aesthetic Mirror Inc. "The frames make the television look like an expensive piece of art in a guest's room and enable hotel designers to create a truly unique experience for their guests, while at the same time saving money and space."
The expansion of Westinghouse Digital LCD TVs into the hospitality industry will allow TVs and the accompanying frames to coordinate with mirrors and artwork in the guestroom and the decor in bars, restaurants, or other areas of the hotel. Customers will be able to choose from four styles of wood frames -- Classic Gold, Modern Mahogany, Natural Maple and Contemporary Black, and four different matte colors -- ebony, burgundy, almond and white. Additional style and color choices will be introduced throughout 2005.
HD 2005 Expo & Conference is produced by VNU Expositions and is presented by Hospitality Design magazine. This year's show, "The Design Revolution," is expected to attract nearly 8,000 attendees, and approximately 1,000 exhibitors.
Westinghouse LCD TVs and monitors are available at major consumer electronics retailers across the country, including Best Buy, The Great Indoors, and Fred Meyer, as well as other retailers, including American TV and Appliance, Bernie's, Boscov's, Cambridge Soundworks, Cowboy Maloney, Electronics Express, Famsa stores, Grant's Appliance, Handy TV, H.H.
